Finding Freedom in Your Body Again: A Personal Path Through Pain and Pilates

Life happens, and sometimes we find ourselves in pain—disconnected from our bodies and unsure how to get back. That pain may come from childbirth, injury, aging, or an accident. Or it may stem from the repetitive strain of doing the things we love. Whatever the cause, the result is often the same: frustration, limitation, and a feeling that you’re no longer living life on your own terms.
I’ve been there—driving around with an ice pack wedged behind my back, hoping the seat heater might help. I was angry, hopeless, and restricted. I couldn’t do the things I loved most, and I was told I might have to live with it. Maybe you’ve been told something similar—that surgery is your only option, or that the pain is just part of life now.
But I don’t believe that’s true. I believe in the body’s ability to heal and reclaim freedom.
You still have so much life to live—whether it’s chasing after grandkids, dancing, or playing pickleball. In just two Pilates classes, I began to feel at home in my body again. Not because I pushed through pain, but because I learned how to move with my body, not against it.
Our classes are personalized, thoughtful, and welcoming—not intimidating like a fitness parody. With care and fun, we help you identify the muscles you’ve been overusing and the ones you’ve forgotten to engage. Often, pain comes not from weakness, but from misuse. As a former dancer, I know how strong bodies can still suffer when they’re out of balance. Pilates helped me rediscover youthful, pain-free movement.
I know how scary it can feel to start over. But you’re not alone. My team and I have walked this path, and we’re ready to walk it with you.
Let’s find freedom in your body again.
